okay so i have a b16 in my crx with the y1 tranny and sh3 intermediate shaft. my driver's side axle crapped out so instead of buyung custom axles i just went to the salvage yard and got a da intermediate shaft for $10 and an autozone axle for $60. the problem is i cant get that damn axle out of the shaft. when i took the axle out of the hub it practically fell apart at the inner cv joint so replacing both the axle and intermediate shaft was easy, and i could just worry about getting that part out of the shaft later. i've tried the a pry bar, 2 pry bars, inpact jackhammer thing??? and all with no sucess. any suggestions or should i just trash it?

 

So you are saying you got the new axles and intermediate shaft on but you want to get your old axle out of the old intermediate shaft? Well if you don't need to take the axle core back then just trash it, it isn't worth your hassle...if you need the axle or just really want to get it out bolt the intermidate shaft down to something and try and pry it out...you should have done it while on the car still, may have been easier
