updated pics on page 3


Ok guys i've hade a b16 crx for about 1 year now (my 2nd ef) anid it has ALOT of cancer . i've been searching for a while for a non rusted ef chassis (whitch everyone knows abt the bad rust up here). and after getting stiffed on a mint 91 crx si rolling chassis only(no motor/trans), for 1600$. i found a 90 civic si a few states away for 1400$ with a motor in good running condition . after about a week of talkin to the guy i took a drive up there with my boy to hopefully drive it home....About 25 min from the guys home he calls me to tell me the car wont start and "i dont kneed to come up if i dont want to"...I was like dude im 20 min away from a 3+ hr drive, ill be there.... so i check it out and turns out beeing the main relay sooo i just taped that bitch and vroom...
after futher investigation of the vehicle there was a large rip on the dr seat and the ac didnt work so i was able to get it for 1000$ (check out the pics)

So as the project will start (a week or so) i will be pulling out the b16 in the cerx and the motor in the civic and replacing the b16 with the d16 and sell the rex to fund my Project ef9 East Side ..im going to totaly clean the engine and do a full wire tuck and a custom paint job (you'll see ) the obvious jdm parts as parts arive ill show how it all goes together HIT ME UP WITH COMMENTS

as you could see from the pics there is only surface rust on the car. yes that is clear pealing off and the interior is mint now

nice car i wish mine was that clean when i got it.. i hope you first goal is to clean up that surface rust before it gets worse.

interior looks pretty good.. just like DaNnYsEvEn said, i would get right to it wit that lil bit of rust be4 it gets worse.

 

for ct car with only surface rust clean find hope it come out clean interior looks good.

ya she said she bought it in florida then had it shipped to cali then shipped to new hampshire where i picked it up

 

i have a rear disc conversion and coilover suspension to swap over. and ill prob swap the wheels over just for now what do you guys think

If it was mine?

I would keep the body and interior bone stock and forget the wire tuck.
These cars are getting harder to find. focus on the motor and suspension and wheels.

true story... but its time to build MY OWN CAR if you know what i mean.. the paint and clear is pealing off so it def needs paint. i have seen about 10 white SI's arround here and i want to be different. i got the motor and suspnesion all set the wheels i still need to get but either way the car needs to be painted

nice ef man... si's are hard to find especially minimal rust... check out my thread, i found one with 1 tiny bit of rust on the driver side wheel well.
