Default NOVA people.

Ok I'm waiting until I can take the DMV road test (sept 5th) and in the meantime I'm trying to find a spot in an MSF course but no dice so far. I don't know anyone that has a bike so I can't drive it on the road.

Does anyone want to come out to Springfield and go riding with me? Next weekend.

Andy, Im licensed, so if you have a permit, we are legal to ride together.

Are you riding this weekend?

Hey awesome Pat!

I've got the permit. I need to get tags this weekend and helmet and jacket and gloves and boots lol. I'll have it all by next weekend.

Awesome. I transferred from Lynchburg to VCU and I move-in next weekend. But, I will be around over the next several weekends(particularly to ride).

Yeah. I'm getting tags tomorrow. I'll get equipment this weekend and all next week. So the week after I'll be ready to go.

Dude, seriously I would not feel comfortable having you get into the thick of riding around a bunch of cars. I would highly suggest getting up early as crap, say 6AM, and just getting used to the space around you without too many cars on the road. Then we can see how well you adapt from there.

I know, but I am. I've been BMXing since I was 12. I picked up snowboarding in a day etc.

dont hate. some people ARE fast learners.

my advice. a group ride isnt the best FIRST riding experience. get around your neighborhood for a little bit just to get used to shifting, downshifting, blah blah, then when you feel absolutely comfortable, go on some rural (no to little traffic) then once your comfortable with that, then could be a good time for a group ride. youre gonna put a lot of miles on fast. i put 800 on my bike in the first 4 days. i couldnt get off the damn thing.... still cant. anyway, hopefully see you saturday!

I get off work at 6am. So I can't ride until noon. I could meet for lunch, then a short ride (back in the office by 6pm).
