Wats up with these comparisons that shouldnt even be compared? Totally different cars made w/ different purposes
btw if I were to get an IS, the extra money is worth it for the 350. Big difference even though its auto

hmm... don't really get why they can't be compared...
i know they will behave differently, but i'm sure one of them gets off the line faster than the other... one must handle corners better... no? if they are on a track, one will win, no? unless they are really equal in performance...

well my point was say .. for example comparing an s2k to an mustang. You cant really compare since its different. IMO comparison are for more like SI vs. TC or S2k vs. miata.
btw going back on topic, get the IS if you have the money.

my buddy just got an IS250. Very nice car, push button start. Although my stock SI beat it, he was not very happy about that. He also spent a lot more than me and I think my car is more fun.

I believe you buy a Lexus for more than performance. I'm also pretty sure when you're looking for a sedan you don't consider the s2000.

I agree with this, owning the Si and having driven the IS250 many times. You can get the 250 with a MT, I believe, which is probably going to be peppier than the AT. The AWD 250 was a little under-powered for me, but the extra weight and power to 4 wheels accounted for that. Having 4 doors in the IS 250 is nice, along with the perforated heated and fan cooled seats. In general the Lexus is more luxurious, but the price tag stopped me from buying one.

Sho Nuff!! If my broke *** had 30k to blow I'm gettin an Evo Lancer or STI hell even for 27k get a Mazdaspeed 6 with plenty of space, leather and sunroof 0-60 5.4 sec. but the the front end is ugly as sin
yeah i wouldn't waste that kind of cash on the lexi. I'd take the si all the way. Between handling and aftermarket...........um yeah i'd take the si. Plus i just think the si looks better. If you're not so interested in performance and you want more lux with decent performance then go with the lexi.
The IS 250 as mentioned above felt underpowered to me also. The 350 was worth the extra money as stated above but by then for that price I wouldnt be looking at a lexus anymore. I was unimpressed with the IS line. The interior was really cramped as well, didnt have a luxuary feeling to me. Honestly I'd prefer the TSX over the IS might as well save some money while im at it and get some leg/hip room.
Long V6?!? Don't you mean short V6? It's shorter in length than a Honda inline four.
