speedo recalibration?
I have 16" rims with 205/45/16 tires. The previous owner installed aftermarket gauges, maybe somthing got screwed up with it then.
The speed is way off though. In 5th on the highway when i am reving at 4000rpm it says i am going 100mph, yet i am barely keeping up with traffic. It has stock gsr engine with bolt ons and stock gsr transmission.

The problem likely stems from this. The dealer may be able to help, but perhaps the easiest solution would be to replace the gauge cluster with an unmolested one.

The previous owner most likely pulled the gauge needle and did not put them back in the same position. You can pull the cluster, remove the plastic lens, and reinstall. The get a GPS and adjust the speedometer needle position so that it matches the correct speed on the GPS. Initially, you need to reduce the speed by 20mph. So lift the needle so that it passes the 0mph pin, mark the position, remove it, and reinstall the equivalent of 20mph less. That should get you close.
Also, your tachometer is probably incorrect as well, since the owner most like removed all of the needles. You will need an external tachometer or OBD scanner to find the correct reading. Adjust that needle like the speedometer.

I am having similar problems do u have a 90-93 integra? mine are these white ones, that glow blue and green, all my guages are off but my speedo, let me know if you fix them please... Thanks
I have a 2000 gsr. I think the problem may be that the numbers on the aftermarket gauges dont line up with the numbers on the stock gauges. The aftermarket ones read up to 240kph whereas the stock ones only read up to 220kph i think. Does anybody have a pic of a canadian gsr cluster so i can compare? With the needle exactly vertical my aftermarket gauges read about 125kph, what is the speed on the stock canadian cluster with the needle vertical?
edit: just found a close up pic of a canadian cluster and it looks like with the speedo needle vertical its only reading about 105kph, so looks like that is my problem.
