i have an 2001 integra type r and the car tends to miss or something maybe more like a sputter. well when i drive the car for maybe about a half hour or more of highway driving or city and park for an hour or so, and go to start the car up again the car sputters like there is no fuel or something and sometimes dies out, it does it for about 5-10 sec. and some smoke comes out of the exhaust and then it runs fine. there is no cel on. i changed plugs, wires, fuel filter. cleaned injectors. and still the cars does the same thing. im not sure what wrong with it

 

have you checked fuel the pressure?

 

no i didnt. ill do that if there is no fuel pressure what could be the cause?

 

bad fuel pressure regulator....main relay could be going out....

my car is experiencing the same symptoms when cold, I'm beginning to wonder if it is the distributor cap/rotor. I can't remember when I replaced them last

.........then again, I don't seem to remember when I replaced my plugs either....

 

i think i changed the entire fuel raill with injectors and regulator with my gsr and it still runs the same
