Hey guys, I'm planning to get Comptech springs and Koni yellows for my GSR. Comptech sells the springs for $179 on their website and Koni yellows for $145, is that a good price?
How's the ride quality with comptech springs? thanx in advance

You know of course that the $145 is for each shock right? The cheapest place around is Diabloautosports.com for Koni Yellows. Most people recommend (including me considering it's my setup) is Koni Yellow's with Ground-Control Coilovers. The can adjust the height more and you can get custom rates. Either way you go, go with the Yellows.
Diablo was selling the springs for $158, but I guess it just went back to the original price of $166, still cheaper than the Comptech site though: http://www.diabloautosports.com/prod...oducts_id=1417

I don't personally have the Comptech springs, but it seems as though they ride similar to the Pro-Kits, which everyone who has them seems to love.

i have the koni yellows & h&r oe sports. i wish i had either a shock with adjustable compression (not just rebound) or stiffer springs.
but for everyday driving i love, but hard agressive driving it might not be enough for your taste.

with coilovers, you can also balance the weight out in the front and the rear if i had the cash i would go with groundcontrol and koni yellows too heh.

try http://www.shox.com for the konis. they have free shipping and they will price match... or so they say.
Hey
anybody know if comptech sport springs for a del sol will fit a 2000 integra GS? cause i have someone who can sell me a set but they were originally going to go on his del sol.?
They will fit, the question is will they work correctly. I'm thinking no, because the spring rate will be much too soft for a DC2, causing the springs to sag and be too soft around corners.
But thet will fit.
Rich.

Do the comptechs lower the rear more than the front like the pro-kits?
That's been my only concern with buying them.
I think comptech's website listed a 1.25 inch drop

Well im not sure but even if you do get the prokit and have the koni yellows. Couldnt you technically just use the addtional lowering of the shocks to even out the ride? it does say you can lower about 0.5 inches either way with the koni just the difference in range.
here is what i mean

What is the difference between the Pro-Kit and comptech springs? I heard they were very similar, but from the pictures I've seen, the comptech gives more of an even drop while the prokit drops the rear a tad lower. Then again it could be the adjustability of the Koni's.
I got Comptech + Koni yellows, it's very suitable for my needs. I daily drive the car and the ride is still nice, not bonejarring at all. I don't scrape my oem kit either, because the drop isn't gangster-low.
Hey
Yeah well i dont know why but the prokits are rated at a 1.3 in drop but they do then to lower the rears more then the fronts. But then people say its cause the fender is cut higher in the front. What i can see in stock form of my 00 integra GS is that it is higher in the front then the rear by like 1/4 of an inch. So maybe thats what causes the uneveness.
While the comptech are rated at a 1.25 in drop. I guess im not too concerened about the uneveness. Since im going to be using it with the koni yellows. Therefore i can use its height adjustment feature to even out the ride.
Heres what it looks like on an 94 teg GSR. The drop seems okay to me here what do you think

If you buy the regular Koni shocks, you have the option of stock or 25mm lower in front; or stock, 15mm higher, or 15mm lower in back. With the Neuspeed Konis I don't think you can go any higher or lower than that, but you have more options in between that range (there would be 3 extra slots in between the stock and 25mm lower setting on the front shocks).
So for the fronts there is only two perches......one for stock and one for a 0.5 inches lower? there isnt a perch inbetween that for a drop of 0.25 inches???
