I believe the RF1k liners are removable. At least the cheek pads are. I use one of those spray helmet cleaners, but there is an article in MC (either this past issue or the last one before) that discusses helmet washing. I believe they say you can use a mild shampoo. If you're gonna use shampoo to clean the inside of your helmet, use J&J Baby Shampoo. Otherwise, when you sweat, the shampoo residue will drip into your eyes and sting like a mo'fo.

Oh how good some women can smell. Thats a good idea...I know in my classes there are some chicks that make me drool when i catch that scent...maybe i should ask them to try my helmet on

I wear a bandana with my helmet, easier to wash regularly, keeping the helmet less dirty longer

From what I understand you'd be much better off having Andrew's sister wear it.

My race helmet was worn in the hottest of weather for 5 years and I never felt the need to clean it. Either my sense of smell sucks or some folks sweat more than I do, which is hard to believe. I would imagine that Febreeze would do the trick but I'd have to air it out well 'cause the smell of that stuff is way too strong to be in my helmet all the time.

Yes, you spray in and just let it sit.

I clean my helmet (depending on how much I ride) usually once a week, Make sure you use something that has a disinfectant, not just something that smells good. I have to do this to keep my face from breaking out so I look good for all you guy's sisters.
