no... u can pull it just make sure you drive carefully in the sense that she does not yank your towhook off or bend ur front bumper.

2 mins away at 30mph average works out to be a mile away... try *walking* a mile in 15 mins or less, then try pushing a car a mile...

I had to pick up a 95 ex 60 miles away with a 04 Ford Ranger 'Edge' - I paid $20 in gas, 3 hours of my time, and $27 for the 4hr rental charge for a two-wheel dolly. I drove ~60-65 most of the way, drove fairly well.

As for literally towing it with a cable - just make sure its SECURE. A rope/cable with that much tension on it will slice through flesh if it snaps. BTW my bro towed a gutted 89 hatch w/motor about 10 miles with his beater 88 toyota camry. The car apparently loved it....

ya u can do it, u wont' expletive nething up, just make sure few things

1. she doesn't accelerate too hard
2. you're in neutral
3. you brake in time
4. if you have enough cable pull it to one side, wrap it around the control arm, bring it accross the back of the axle, through the back of the opposite control arm, and hook it to the original line (so it forms a triangle) - this will keep too much stress from being put on one control arm (PM me if you don't understand what I mean).
5. make sure nobody sees you - it's illegal to tow a car that way

Good Luck ~

Didn't even know there was a tow hitch there. Use whatever ya want, really shouldn't matter as long as she doesn't floor it.

just remember, you slow her down, dont let her slack off first, if its ona to-do list, pull up ur handbraker and just replace your back brakes, (not all the way, maybe 2 to 4 clicks)

Get walkie talkies or something, or handless eair pieces for cell phones, and her tell yoyu when to start stopping, that way there will always be tension in the rope (i recoomend a rope over a chain) and you dont ahve to worry about hurting eachother or eachothers cars
