Default ls tranny with gsr motor?

Found a deal on a gsr motor, but it doesnt come with a tranny. will the ls tranny work while i find a gsr tranny? or will it work fine enough that i wont need a gsr tranny?

It will work in a pinch but the gearing is longer and will not be the best you can get.

If it's all you can get do it for time being. It'll fit up but not work too well. Gears are too long, you can swap gears though down line with ease.
