Default chirping belt

So this is weird. I installed my AC belt and all that jazz today, but while I was driving around today with the AC on, every minute or so I would get a chirp sound that sounds like a squeaking belt but only for like, half a seccond, and when it happens my car seems to lose a little power and then come back to life for that half a seccond or so. It's really weird. I'm wondering if it might be that the AC belt is too tight? It only happens with the AC on.

Its either to tight or to loose. When you A/C is on, the pump cycles on and off to maintain steady pressure in the system.
