rapid moving speedometer needle

Hey what causes the speedometer needle to move rapidly, i just replaced a broken speedo cable and now my speedometer works, but when im accelterating, the needle moves very rapidly from like 5mph to 50?

wierd, i would disconnect and re-connect both ends of the cable and go from there?

either very fast or it's getting kinked and twisted and then spins fast. pull everything out and try to twist it by hand then reconnect. Good luck

going fast in a honda.. thats impossible. or its the vtec.
