B-swap, speedo doesn't work now
Well this is probably my fault because I let the entire old engine hang by the speedo cable when I was pulling it out.....didn't realize it was even there
Anyway after the swap, the speedo doesn't work. It will occasionally twitch like it's rubbing. I thought maybe I snapped the cable, so I got another from the junkyard. I noticed in the junkyard car, that the cable itself stuck out when I unclipped it (like a TV cable would look). When I thread the cable up to the cluster, it doesn't protrude like it should. It's not even visible when the cable is plugged into the transmission.
So what the hell happened? I can't really see where it comes into the cabin.....
OH, 1 more thing: Is the cable's sheath supposed to fit inside the metal end that plugs into the transmission? That could definitely be the problem..
