They start out loud, and they only get louder as the packing deteriorates.

D&D isnt that good.

I have a Wileyco Carbon fiber muffler on my 01 R6. nice deep tone & doesnt get loud after time.

You can pick them up for under $300

I work at D&D, our quailty is just as good as any other company, we use the same grade products that yosh, and akrapovic. As for being loud check this out.

http://www.danddexhaust.com/ne...e.htm

There's a reason we have been making exhaust's for 30 years.
a) price and quailty
b) price and performance
c) Customer Service

What kind of bike do you ride and I'll send you over some dyno charts, we do dyno every bike we build and exhaust for, even slip-on's that is why our slip ons make just as much if not more power than most other company's full systems.

This is good to know. Just wondering why the D&D's don't get too much love here on H-T? They look nice enuf. Never heard one in person though.

It's not just HT, it's alot of forums, becuase for so long we've just been known for being the loudest. Well now we are trying to appeal to more people showing we make just a good of a product as anyone else with the same power numbers, but at a lesser price. I judt don't like seeing when people say things like "well it's cheap and that means it's crap" In most cases I would tottaly agree but it's not the case here.

d&d's build quality is crap, obnoxiously loud, and are NOWHERE NEAR the quality of yosh, akro, or any oter of the bigger names.

I would like to see how. If it was why are we still in business today. (given we have flaws I'm not saying that the company is perfect. But usually if there is a problem I take care of it immediately) good luck trying to get yosh, or akro to warranty an item.

I'm not getting defensive, but you make pointless useless immature comments and bring nothing to back them up.

I had a D&D on my old cbr and on my f4i, I sold the one on my f4i.
I never experenced a problem with build quality, but it was pretty damn loud. That just comes down to personal preference, for me I didnt like it and sold it and baught a devil high mount that I am much more pleased with. Again though its just personal preference in my case, not really a matter of build quality or D&D's reputation.

But I have to stick up for ngng, he always puts up good topics and is a very informative person. I think he was just stating his personal opinion with D&D cans that he has used. Im sure you guys send out some **** cans now and again (along with alot other companies) maybe he just got a bad one and was speaking about that.

I should also add...

The only reason I have mine because it was overstocked by a shop and I got it on Ebay for like $90. It's a decent quality slip-on, but if cost were not an option I probably would have went with something else..

i can vouch for D&D being obnoxiously loud because whenever we have group rides, the person with the bike that can drown out my own exhaust from a far always has a D&D; i can hear their **** over my own yoshimura slip on, helmet AND earplugs. i don't know if they took out the packing/packing deteriorated/never came with packing, but they give us sport bike riders a bad name/image

not sure why, maybe cuz its really old but my yosh exhaust is one of the loudest i have ever heard on a sport bike. so loud, infact, I dont even let it idle infront of my house for fear that my neighbors will complain.

I dont think they are that loud. Yeah, louder than alot of other slip ons out there, but no where near as loud or obnoxious as a full size chevy or ford with straight pipes/ glass packs....now thats ****** annoying.

I think they sound good. Loud, but maintain that purring sound. A buddy of mine put one on his 01 cbr600 and ive been jealous ever since.

D&D

d+d has always had a bad rap and i dont know why. the quality is there and they sound great. for all the different pipes me and my dad have used d+d has always been one of the better pipes.
