car STILL wont start!
alright, when i go to turn the key, i dont hear any fuel pump hum (just put a new 255 in it, it was humming whern we put it in) when i go to start, all i hear is click. The only light on the dash that comes up is the e-brake like, you know how the oil light, and the check engine light will come on when you have the key turned over, those lights are not on, i have swapped out 2 main relays, a new battery, had the starter checked, the ground to the engine and to the tranny are connected, all the fuses are good under the dash and under the hood are good. and i have no fuel pump hum now, i dont know what the hell is going on, the car isnt even atgtempting to turn over, all i get is click. I tried jumping the car off with another battery too, nothing, does the same thing... click... the main relay is clicking, but nothing. i didnt do anything to the ignition or anything so i dont know why this would be happeneing. its like my car is getting no power. please help me out i have been trying to diagnose this for a damn week now, i need some help bad.
oh, also changed the ignition lock cylinder and the switch, so, **** is up in the air....lol wanna buy a honda....not really....but seriously....for the right amount, lol
On the right hand side of the engine compartment is a panel, where the power from the battery feed's. Their are 2 small yellow boxes, with tabs on the end's. Those are your main fuse's. They feed everything else. It sounds like one of them is open.
If you have a voltmeter, check between the negative and positive on the battery, to make sure you have +12 volt's. Then check from a frame ground, to the +12 on the battery. Then check from frame ground to one side of those fuses, then the other. I believe you will discover one of them is blown open and needs to be replaced.
