Coolant reservoir low???
I just checked my coolant reservoir and it's a hair below the min level. What kind of coolant do I add to get it back up to the max level? Do I need to mix it w/ water? Excuse the retardo post but I've never added any coolant to either my R or GSR. Thanks
you can either get pre-mixed or pure coolant from auto part stores. Pre-mixed are ready for use and just pour it into the reservoir. For pure cooolants, you need to mix it with water at a 1:1 ratio, and it will be good. Ideally u should use purifed water to get rid of the ions that causes rust, but i have been using tap water and no problem.
Can you please elaborate, what new honda blue stuff?
Also, would it be detrimental to just add some more wal-mart brand coolant and flush it out at a later date

Just buy a gallon of distilled water at your local drug store/grocery store. Top it off with that...50/50 mixture isn't necessarily an "ideal" mixture...a heavier bias towards water will yield better performance, as pure water has better thermal properties than coolant (coolant is mostly an anti-corosive).
