K series VC Gasket Replacement Time
My moms 03ish Accord with a K24 has a leaking VC gasket. She took it in even though I could do it, but the shop is saying that on a k series teh VC gasket is a 2hour job. I call BS on the dealer. I have done the VC on an H22 and D15, it took 10 minutes maybe...
I don't have the Helms yet for the accord, trying to convince the folks to buy one.
So, is the K series VC job really difficult? Something I don't know about?

no lol.... take the IM cover off. Then take the spark plug cover off. After that remove the screws to the coils. Remove the coils and undo the screws to the valve cover. Maybe a 20-30 min job taking your time.
Thanks, I knew they were BS but I wanted to make sure before I accuse them.
I also just found out there may be a cam seal that needs replacing too, but IIRC that is another 5 minutes at most with the VC off. A rubber piece with some Hondabond on the cam end in an H22.
Based on my past experiences with this place and now this I forbid my parents to go to this dealer without me with them. Heck i would do the VC gasket for free for them, or maybe in exchange for a pizza.
