Default New from AZ

hello, well im not a trial user anymore, so now ill post my "im new thread"

although im a girl, i know my way pretty good around a car, im in my last year of highschool, and have been taking auto for 3 years, i also got 8th place out of almost 40 teams @ the firebird raceway pitcrew challege, and organized the 1st ever all girl team in the 15th year history.

I own a 95' VTEC isle green sol. with about 86k on the motor. my plans are big and my money is low, so waiting is nothing new for me.

after highschool i was planning on going ot automotive college, however it was very difficult for me to get employment before then, or for any one to take me seriously for that matter, so i said, maybe in my next life, and am going to attend the art institue for animation in january.
i still love working on my car,and i go out to the track regularly, so even though im a girl, gimme a chance, i love to learn.

lol and no laughin at my intake.. like i said.. im poor, and im not in homebrewed racing any more.. some of these pics are old

If you enjoy working on cars then keep your head down and walk straight. Keep pursuing it now before you get too old.

Learn fast and remember everything and you will succeed.

What part of AZ are you in because I have some hookups in Las Cruces NM and he knows even more in Phoenix AZ. Maybe we could work out some help for you on cost issue.

Drive hard!

lol the strut bar is stock. plans, well i need to fix my bumper, and get a new clear coat.. the sun was not nice to my car, its not peeling, just u know, blurry. i would love to just squeeze some horse power out of her w/o turbo. cams, valves springs, retainers, cam gears, basically every bolt on avaliable, i need her to be reliable while im poor and going to college, but still kick some ***, 15.7 in the 1/4mi isnt exactly kicking ***, new ignition, my starter is starting to go, perhaps a port and polish from the good guys @ SRP, i want the stealth box, i have 4 Alpine S mids, 240W amp, and pinoneer deck, and i just wanna little bump. i want to find some black housing aux lights to match my headlights. and that it for exterior.. my feeling on body kits is.. well, keep the fiberglass in attic.

Yeah I just picked up ITR cams for 250.00 shipped and a y21 LSD tranny for 700.00 shipped.
Guarenteed excellent conditon.
Turbonetics turbo kit slightly used 850.00

So I know what you mean by slight bolt-ons.

If you decide you need another car to work on I have 3 honda's and picking up an AE86 today for 200.00 with clean title.

Don't sell yourself short just because some people don't take you seriously. If you really want to do something in the automotive world you should. If you just want to go to a mechanic school and wrench all the time, well it might be better to do the art institue thing, but if you were thinking about going into automotive engineering or design then go for it.

Oh yeah and most people are being nice because you're a girl
