Default Should I have my thottle body bored?

I need some help from the all motor guys. I'm starting my build that consists of a stock block, smsp header, type-s cams, euro-r intake manifold, and aftermarket exhaust. Tuned on hondata s200. I bought an ITR throttle body that will work with my intake manifold, but would I benefit by having it bored to say 65mm and port matched to the intake manifold. Any opinons based on actual KNOWLEDGE and not speculation are appreciated.

Well, I sent my 60mm TB to be bored out to 64mm. Can't say if it's worth it yet because I haven't gotten it back yet. Have you checked out maxbore.com? They can bore an ITR throttle body way out (I think they're like 62mm stock)

No i wouldnt bore it out. People have slapped on Skyline throttle bodies to H-sereies block and there something like 70-75mm and they just suck. You want air but so much that it cant get suction. Its like say sucking threw a big straw, u run out of breath quick right. Well if u suck through a smaller straw ur breath last longer and u get more pressure.

Hey ur from KY to.

If I am not mistaken, RLZ has used 72mm tb's on the H22. I run a 70mm STR and love it.

Yeah, I was wanting to to maxbore with either 64 or 65 mm port matched to the inlet of the intake manifold.

What mods do you have? Did you notice a reduction in low end power?

Send an email to Jorge (owner of maxbore) and ask him about it. He can tell your options as far as boring it out

I sent my chit into maxbore to get a bore and port match and the butt dyno said there was more power and response. Was it worth it? Sure for now, but Im always on the quest for more power.
