Default stock EK Radio/Aftermarket Alarm Problem

Hi ! I just purchased a 98 Ex hatch 5 spd for relatively cheap . Little things need fixing that are almost done but the radio puzzles me . The radio turns on everyting works , but there is no sound in the speakers . I borrowed my friends same exact radio and everything works . So I know its not the wiring . I bet its something to do with volume .... Is this fixible by my self. Please Help .
Car also came with a aftermarket alarm . I dont know the model but its a clifford with a remote. When i got the car it worked fine . Now I dosnt make a sound when on or off and it dosnt respond to anything. The little led light stays on the whole time .... its weird . there is a switch by the clutch for the alarm . I messed with that but it didnt help . My guess is that I need to reprogram the alarm Usind the 2 buttons on the remote and the switch , but how?
Thanx

BTW Radio and alarm are not connected together.

Actually I think i figured out the alarm . By reading my dads owners manual (different brand) it said that if the led light stays on then its in Valet Mode. So I thinkthe alarm is in valet mode but how do i get out of it. I may have reprogrammed it by messing around with all the buttons . Opps

I'm not sure about ur radio...but I had a clifford before. What model do you have? The switch ur referring to is the "plain view switch" (has a * and blank side) i think. By default, my code was 2...meaning u pressed * twice...then blank. But every model is different. But the owner could have changed the code...as I did. Best thing to do is go to clifford.com and check the owner's manual. Mine had an option where you could switch valet mode on/off with the remote...so u wouldn't need a code. Hopefully...the previous owner didn't turn that option off. Hope this helps. Good luck.
