The RDX has landed!
Hey guys, just wanted to let you know the RDX is here at my dealership.
If any of you have been waiting for its release I would suggest you contact your salesman now
If you live in SoCal feel free to schedule a test drive with me --- I include pizza, starbucks and soft drinks for free (even if you dont buy)
The RDX looks good and has a unique look ---- my first rolling glimpse had me guessing what it was
Until I saw the Acura badge

tech here, and the rdx is different , and power wise it feels like a 6 cyl. it does have a slight turbo lag at takoff but u feel the boost as well as the little boost gauge goes up. i did take it on our little test course by our dealer and it hadles very well for a suv, it handles like a car would. umm other than that, it has its up's and down's from a tech point of view, but well see how they sell. i do think they are over priced for a 4 cyl.

I'm goen have to agree with keenspeed94, that its a little over priced for a 4cly and personally i think it's kind of ugly (but i also haven't seen one in person), i think ill stop by the acura dealer today to take a look.

Its a little pricey but considering its an 07 model and an Acura it falls in line with the price point of the Pilot EX-L and MDX ---- same powerful acceleration in a smaller SUV with lux features
Priced from 33-37K --- the EX-L Pilot is 35-36K and is much larger
I think empty nesters and young couples looking for a small lux SUV will like the new RDX
Catherdral City Honda/Acura/Toyota/Scion/Mazda dealership here --- I can test them side by side

The pics dont do it justice because they dont illustrate the scale of the RDX compared to say the MDX
I think it looks pretty good --- its all relative

I test drove the one with the Technology package over the weekend. I would have to agree that it does have a slight turbo lag, but you feel the pull in a few seconds. It handles really nice and drove very smoothly. I was taking an exit ramp going at 80mph which had a slight turn to it and the tires never squealed one bit!

i've read great reviews in motortrend magazine, but they had a guestimate of the price, which i can't remember 100% but i think i remember the figure of 28-30k?
i gotta go check one out in the showroom, because imo, i love the new designs acura is putting into production.

Same thinking that should this replace my daily commuter "beater" .
At this price I can buy a new S2000 along with my ITR but no good for winter so not a smart choice.

A variable flow turbo....cant find the article that has the good illustration...will dearch...its ECU controlled to act as a smaller turbo in the lower RPM and open up like a big turbo in the upper ranges. Its stuck stuff. All i want is the block tho :D

According to insiders it doesnt look like it --- just not worth the trouble making it work
Hopefully they will apply this technology to a FWD platform like the new CSX 2 door coupe coming soon --- that would be a better swap platform for civics
Great vehicle though --- a little pricey but at least it spools nicely
