What are some good shocks for H&R Race springs?
I posted this in the suspension forum as well. I just wanted to know of any good shocks i could use with these springs. It's my daily driven sedan so i don't need anything overkill. Thanks for any input.
i got them on my 2000 si. I have the 5 way adjustable. Ride is not to bumpy or stiff. Yu can change the settings though 1-5. I have H&R's also
I have H&Rs on my 98 hatch and just put on KYB GR-2s, they're....eh ok. A little softer and bouncier than I was hoping for, if I had to to do it again I would have spent the extra money and got Tokicos. I've heard alot of bad things about DropZone stuff.
um, race springs kinda lower ur car alot more than two inches
so u gotta watch out for bumps and pot holes or ur gonna scrape, dent ur oil pan, or mess up anything under the car.

I have some Tein S-Tech springs that i might put on my car right now. I've never driven a lowered car before. I have been in one though. It was a pretty slammed sentra. Without bumpstops. OUCH! Maybe i should try the Teins before i go to the race springs. Thanks for all the help!

H&R Race springs are a pretty serious drop. Your best bet is Koni yellows, then Tokico Illuminas, then KYBs, then Koni reds, then Tokico blues, in that order, IMHO lol.
With a 2.5" drop or whatever those are nothing is gonna last as long as the Koni yellows, but of course they're the most expensive.

i have koni yellows w/ H&R race springs....2.5F and 2.25R drop (althogh the rear didnt go all that far down)

AMAZING setup over stock, stiff when i want it to be, "soft" when i need it to be. love it.

I have Tein S-Techs and KYB AGXs on my 93 Si and it's by far the best daily driving combination I've ever had. My brother has a 93 VX with a GSR swap with H&R Race springs and KYB AGXs. His car may handle slightly better than mine at the limit, but Goddamn is it terrible for daily driving. Looks great because the H&R Race springs dump the car 2.4 - 2.7 inches, but it's too low to be convinient and it's too rough to make you happy on the way to-and-from the grocery store

That's what i was thinking. Maybe i should just try the teins first. I called up a shop in my neighborhood and they want $129 a shock. Kinda shocking i guess. I might just throw the teins on with my stock shocks and see how it is. But what i find weird is that i still have my stock suspension on but i have like a 2 finger gap. Is this weird? I have 15" rims with 195/60/15 toyos.

You can get a set of KYB AGX shocks on eBay for $350 shipped or something along those lines. You don't need a shop to do suspension

yeah having no shocks is not a good idea. what was the point of that remark?
