Default Guys with autometer a/f guage

How many of you guys are using them? Do you get a range of about 4 to 5 lights being lit as the display goes from left to right? If you are then something is not right and we need to work together to fix this. It's a common problem with hondas and I see other hondas here with the same problem and I'm convinced it affects performance. The computer is basically seeing this (blurr) change in readings and trying to compensate accordingly. I already change my O2 sensor same problem. I also change my guage thinking it was bad. Is this happening to any of you guys? When I first installed the guage it lit up one led at a time and the car ran perfect

Now even at full throttle I get about 4-5 leds on in the rich area. We really need to solve this.

I know someone would say that. I would like my car working as it did standard. Is that a problem?

A wideband won't solve the problem.

From my understanding the stock o2 sensor (narrow band) only reads lean or rich, and nothing inbetween.. which is why you get about 5 LEDs jumping from lean to rich, and why you'll never get an accurate reading (1 LED or so). This is also why most people claim a/f gauges are good for nothing more then a very rough idea of how your engine is running (ie, if it's always on lean.. that's bad).. and why a wideband o2 sensor/gauge is higly recommended..

someone correct me if i'm wrong..

if you had a wide band you could see exactly how your a/f is and determine if your narrow is propper. Personally I haven't seen a narrow band meter worth getting
