I found a bike in Miami, FL im interested in buying and all the way out here in NYC. I had a quote fr $700+ which seems pretty expensive. What do you guys think? Also I plan on visiting Fort Lauderdale, FL in a couple days. Anyone know of a shipping company I should stop by or call?

 

I have been looking into shipping a bike recently and forward air had the best price by far.

According to forward air you can get a bike shipped from Miami to New York, NY for 497.70. This was using the regular sized crate which is 98L*44.6W*47.6H. The weight I used was 350lbs. I measured my R1 and it fits in that crate quite comfortably so im assuming any other sportbike will fit.

 

Thanks, I'll check them out right now. $500 sounds better than $700+. Is there a ground shipping company that anyone knows of? Maybe its cheaper that way? I think I saw quotes for $300+ for shipping bikes, not sure where though

 

I have done coast to coast a few times... it is around 650-700... Gas is much more expensive these days

 

Yep gas prices has raised shipping prices alot. BTW forward air is ground shipping.

 

Ive used forward air to have a bike motor shipped from Fl to Pa. I didnt have any problems with them. So hope that helps with forward air.

 

Should I just ask them to deliver it to PA or something? I have family over there. Maybe it should be cheaper
