need help with rings

Default need help with rings

here my problem. i have these rings that are 84mm and the rings are .014 of an in. but i need them to be .08 of and in. and will this make u car run like **** if i just left it the way it is. or were can i find rings. that i can fiel fit

where did you get specs for a ring gap of .08''? thats crazy tight

What kind of pistons? whats the motor setup. I am local and may be able to help out.

You're probably thinking about .008". Eighty thousandths (.080) is crazy wide for a ring gap

.080" is crazy wide. What are you thinking? Do you mean .008"? If yes, then nvmyb20hatch is right....that's crazy tight!! We need more info from you. I'm assuming your NA since you posted on this forum. What's your compression? This plays a big role in Ring Gap. Too tight and your ring will overlap....this means you'll be in deep ****. Too wide and you will have bad sealing and blowbys. Again, more info is needed.

Which ring gave you .014",...top, second, or oil ring?
