Default Spark plug heat ranges???

What does it mean to drop 1 heat range on the spark plugs ...Is that 1 heat range hotter or colder??? What is the heat range on ngk spark plugs for the B18C from the factory???

You're probably talking about 1-step colder plugs. They're generally good for a couple more HP and allow the heat to transfer better for lower engine temperatures.
