if you like A/C then you will want the comptech. form waht i have heard you need to remove the A/C to fit the mugen in.

i have had an AEM and the Icebox. I like the Icebox a lot more

the pics on KING's dont imply that you have to remove the AC but who knows? I just like the look of the MUGEN and it seems like it will work just as good if not better than the icebox(not as bulky) but who knows
oh I have the AEM now and hydrolock really scares me

The Mugen will likely make a couple of whp more than the Comptech and have much better throttle response, due to it's larger volume... Not sure what you mean by "not as bulky" because the Mugen is much bigger. You need to remove the A/C for it to work, or else you are going to have to reroute the A/C lines.

You are beginning to confuse me... There is only one Mugen intake. They make one version for JDM cars and another for USDM, but it is basically the same unit, just redesigned to fit the ABS equipped cars. Either way, it is designated "for racing use only." I don't think you will have any problems though, as the filter is up in the engine bay where water isn't going to get to it.

Has ANYONE modified their A/C lines to run the Mugen intake? Please IM me... I'm a Mugen-***** and I'd gladdly drop the $700-odd it would take to run the Mugen intake and keep my A/C.

....lol well ive had the mugen intake on my r almost a year now...and i still have a/c...the best way is to get the a/c lines evacuated, then move them to make the intake fit. then once the intake is installed, providing there is no bends or cracks in the lines then just have them recharged...i love my mugen intake!!! it has excellent throttle response..i just cant think of anything wrong with this intake. ok maybe the price!!! i must say even without a/c lines the mugen intake barely fits, its huge!!

just to clarify any further questions im using the intake with jdm4-1+test pipe and mugen twinloop

I also run Mugen CAI, great throttle response on all power band and run a/c.
Youhave only to move 1 inch a/c lines. Very easy I made work from myself in 2 hours.
