Default MY (@ CIVIC HATCH KEEPS TURNING OFF! HELPPPPP!

When i turn on my car soon after it shuts off again. i have a b16a2 in my 92 civic hatch. I thought the problem was my fuel pump because after the car turns off the fuel pump does not whine when turning the key. So after i changed my fuel pump i still had the same problem. Any Ideas???

nope its not the ignition. I checked my grounds and they are all fine. I always have spark and the motor always cranks. But it seems like every like few minutes when the motor is on the fuel pump turns off.(which makes the car turn off)

if you just put a new fuel pump in , then its notyour fuel pump... check your alternator? your battery?

It's not going to wine if you try to start it back up right after you've turned it off - it doesn't need to prime. You changed the fuel filter too, right? I doubt it's an injector as there'd be times when it just runs like **** from one cyl running lean...so what else is there in the fuel system that would 'cause that..? Hrm, sounds like wiring up to your FP or Injectors, check your main relay, swap it w/ another and see where you are from there, I've never had one go on a civic but I hear when they start to go they make your car not start intermittently. After that I'd check the ignition system out to make sure it's not shutting down the fuel system (the ignition system from the main relay to the key, not the detonation, because you said you have a spark)...

If you turn on your car (I know this isn't good for it), w/ the gas half pressed so it revs up as soon as it starts does it still stall out? (for least possible chance of damage, do it on a hot 100 degree day, so the engine can be as warm as possible....it won't hurt it...just do it, tell us what happened

its not my alternator or battery. Like i said before i thought the problem was my walbro fuel pump so i put my factory fuel pump(that i know works perfectly) back in the car. The car does the same thing with the 2 different fuel pumps.

i agree... check your main relay.. and if that checks out.. check your fuel pump wiring.. sounds like you might have a loose ground or a short some where..

Im going to try the relay. I serious doubt its the ignition because i still have power in everything and the motor still cranks but the fuel pump does not turn on. I read the helms book and it says that the fuel pump is connected to the main relay. So i really hope that my problem is the main relay.
