Default setting stock suspension

on my 02 gsxr 600, I have all stock suspension minus a steering dampner.

I want to set the sag, have read up on it, but for some reason it just does not seem like I am doing anything right. or I am missing something.

has anyone done this? experiences? best way to do this?

best way to do this - find someone who's done it before or specializes in suspension work... if you can't get the sag right the springs in the forks and shock are sufficient for your weight (either too stiff or too soft)
