Suspension 500whp?
What is the best suspension setup for street and strip use because i wanna buy a complete kit.Butt there are so many setups and i have heard good things about skunk2 pro and omni drag.I hope that you guys could help me with this problem. And it is for a civic 92 hb with a 2.0LS/VTEC Turbo 500whp .
most are gonna say omni.
if you are a baller, strange.
i went with progress, i am having a few issues, but i am working with it. they arent externally adjustable. only in the valving so street driving a race sus'd car is a little weird.

Stiff rear springs will help a lot on the launch, but they are not fun on the street. I rode in a friends car with the Omni drag kit and it was ridiculous on the street. Definitely not something I'd want to daily drive.
I'm partial to the Koni yellow/Ground Control coilover combo because thats what I have in my car right now. GC has a pretty large selection of spring rates and you can get the Konis revalved for the different rates.
Is this a daily driver that'll see the track every once in a while or a track car that will be driven on the street every now and then? I think determining what you want to do with the car is the first step, as its very hard to have a car that does both without making a lot of sacrifices.

Its not my dayle drive butt i run it more on the street than on the strip.Butt my goal is to hit the 10sec with my car.So than i think that i have to go with the omni.

omni are hard to get right now, blox makes a clone that might be easier to get. i just stuck the omni drags on my 500+ whp street strip hatch and the ride is very stiff. but you can see the difference in squat and lift in these 2 videos.
here is tokico blues and slip on coil overs. watch the front lift and teh rear squat and when i hit second the rear bounces down.

now watch a few of these launches with the omni , the car stays flat and barely flinches on shifts.

my 60s arent any different between the 2 suspensions yet, my track is pretty poor on traction and i was using 24 inch slicks in the first vid and 23s in the second.

Omni's are awesome.
although i cut the same 60'ft.'s with my street car that is slammed on spring in the back, and eBay coilovers up fron on stock struts. so i dont know anymore. ive givin up on trying to get my car to hook.

what else are you guys running besides coilovers? does everyone run traction bars too? what else is important to have when trying to get power to the ground?
^^^^ Sounds pricey for 500whp.......
I think I am going to give the Blox Drag's a shot even though I swore to myself I would never buy anything Blox, if they are indeed just an OMNI copy then what the hell guess I will give them a shot.

i cut 1.76-1.79 over a hundred passes without one, and have 4 passes with one and they were 1.68-1.72
Unfortionately thats my bracket car, and i dont have a cage, and i know run 11.3's on 10psi wastegate spring:S
I actually just put a traction bar on my street car, and lost almost a full tenth to the 60'ft.

no changes at all. infact i even ran the first round without one because i was running late so i just put it on right after 1st round.
went from 1.79 to 1.72 the first time with them. then in finals i ran my first 1.68 in that car.
i have the L-con traction bar.
