i havent been in to rm forum for awhile n just now i read about the puerto rican all motor with 307sec and ran 9.70sec before.. he had rm made him a custom cams.. im wondering if anyone know anything about his set up..im assuming that this is B series

I dont pay much attention too times from peurto rico. Cars here have to pay attention to sanctioning body rules in order to set records.

I believe this car was the one that was previously running the Toda D's. Rocket made him a custom set of cams and the numbers were seriously ridiculous, like a 20+ whp gain OVER the D's. Waive the bullshit flag, I don't care....I'm being serious. I wish Rocket had a dyno sheet or something to show this, I remember him talking about this like 6-8 months ago. The Rican's are making allot of hp with the RM products..

Not exactly custom cams. Rocket reserves them for drag cars. Yes, they made 25whp peak over Toda D's.

lol ... i'm on vacation here in PR right now and all i see driving around are hyundai accents driving around with exhausts and stickers ... a few eg hatches and coupes driving around By arecebo and the autovista to san juan ... lol everyone seems to be into the DOHC VTEC stickers ... haven't see an RSX or new Civic yet, did see a few TSX

 

I'm sure it weighs close to minimum weight of the sanctioned bodies here in the states, so it is impressive IMO. If RM took the time to design custom cams, then it is definitely an accomplishment...

 

Everytime i got to PR all i see are accents and mitsubishi mirages, my town is right next to san juan called Juncos.

Monday at carolina speedway you will see all types of car running at the track but without time, something very similar to street races. And yes, there are people running very fast with hyundais etc.. for example a Mirage with his 1.8 sohc engine running 10.2 and it's a full street car all seats etc.. turbo with a little shot, another one a hyundai brio runs thiw week 9.31@149 with a automatic tranny etc. etc..

I don't know exactly but he's running a alcohol setup, custom header by the owner of this car, he is the owner of a local machine shop called TR machine shop, I'm going try found his exactly setup and post it.

 

PR's are amazing a tuning. Somehow this doesn't surprise me.

reading the post this is some of the info i gathered

it did 1.3 or 1.4 60fts

slick ran 24.5 X 9 X 13
it weighs 1450 without driver
