Del sol deal is 2 good to be true????? What can I do to see if its stolen?
So I think I found a great deal on a sol but I think it might be stolen.
He is selling it to me for $600 but he bought it for 3g's last weekend. He said he is selling to me because the transmission place wants 2800 to fix it.. Here are the specs:
1994 Black civic del sol si
Broken Transmission
Automatic
Alpine Stereo with dynamat installed
Konig Traffik 16x7 nice rims.
Perfect interior except seats are worn.
1 very small dent and 1 small dent
I wanna know how to see if its stolen or something but the I got the VIN and the DMV says its clean but idk. What should I do?

does he have a title for it that will tell u everything and ask him for the vin # and carfax it

as long as he has a title in his name u should be all clear.. he wouldnt be able to get that title if he stole the car or atleast the title in his name

hmm ok guys I need YOUR input. Should I
1. Fix tranny and drive it
2. Fix tranny and sell it
3. Auto-Man swap new tranny
4. But ls/vtec swap that im building in it and gut it.
5. Part car out and keep those rims for track rims.

If you're smart you'll fix the transmission and sell it to some girl going away to college for $3500. expletive swapping it to manual. Manual Hondas attract fanboys who lowball. Automatic Hondas - especially gay Del Sol's - attract the parents of little girls who want to put their daughter in something "fun" and "cute" for college.

I agree, except sell it for more, you can get somebody to buy it. Pretty damn good descript too, because that's definately all true...you usually don't see girls in manual hondas - the majority of girls that drive hondas drive autos (and i don't care how many girls you claim you know that drive manuals). Fix the tranny or buy a new one and sell the car... If it's gonna cost 2800 to fix, buy a new tranny, you can get one for that car (auto or standard, don't make a bit of diff) for way less..

what I REALLY want is an 88+ crx shell to throw my ls/vtec setup in but no good ones have come up under $500 or even under $1000. THe crx ls/vtec would run way better times than the heavier del sol
