Default knock an v-tec questions

I have a 99 EK with a fully built d16y8 head running hondata s300 I added a knock sensor an I can't get v-tec or the knock to work I have the jhp obd2b to obd1 jumper harness an a jdm p30 that the hondata is installed on ran the wiring from the knock to pin d3 v-tec pressure (vtm) to pin d6 and the v-tec solenoind to a4 plug in my lap top load the engine an error code for v-tec spool valve comes up checked the wiring it looks good but the odd thing is it only throws the code once in a while but v-tec never works and neither does the knock sensor laptop shows knock sensor is doing nothing can anyone out there help me with this problem Also when the car doesn't throw the v-tec spool code it switches over to the v-tec fuel an ign tables but v-tec still doesn't engage

You wired it to those pins in the OBDI jumper right?

You fucked up the wiring. Take it to a shop before you do more damage.

I work at a shop and yes I wired it to those pins on the obd1 jumper

Knock sensor and VTEC sol. are "known good" ?

Checked oil pressure at the test port on the head?

Knock is brand new v-tec sol was workin fine before I took the head to the shop to get built I work for Tony's Service Center we do general repairs i've only been out of school for 2 years an thought I would start to build up my car I bought the head off a friend when he decided to go with a b swap the other techs at the shop been workin on cars all their lifes they know whats up but don't have time to help me so I'm trying to do my own research to find what the problem is

Hey if anybody has been followin this post about my problem I got it figured out an thought I'd share what i found in case anybody else has ever had a similar problem I took my ecu apart an found that the capasitor next to the v-tec driver started leakin an ate through my board sucks for me an v-tec was not working due to the fact that the leakin capacitor damaged the v-tec driver thank you guys for all your wonderfull suggestions an I hope my problem has helpped someone out
