That's just the insane torque you receive from v-tec. Just kidding but it could have something to do with your selonoid being faulty???? Also is this a manual or automatic?

if your ecu is chipped, i'd say it's a tuning issue. i'm not exactly sure what you mean by "red line jerk", but that's what it sounds like to me, unless you have more info.
maybe they set the REV LIMIT at 5600 and not the vtec crossover?

Oh yeah!!! by thew way is your check engine light on.
And if you already got it scanned what was the error code.
Mine was air/fuel monitor (air flow sensors) but that cant be right because my car wouldn't run right if it was air flow sensors!!!!

i wasnt aware tyhat having the knock sensor bypassed through chpping or not wiring one up on a stock p30 would affect performace. i dont have knock wired on my obd1 b16a with p30 and it seems fine. elaborate for me if you would.
This kid's a moron. The car's probably in limp mode and it's cutting out when it hits VTEC and he doesn't know why. I'm sure "Redline jerk" means "rev limiter/ignition cut" in whatever caveman speak this kid is spitting.
