Default un-clouding CF hood.....

Ok guys I need a little input. I've been searching the forums for a while for some help on doing this. I just bought a 95 civic and the CF hood on it is quite cloudy in some areas. The hood is perfetly smooth so there areny any scratches...but it looks kinda scratchy. Anyway I've come to believe that I should wetsand the hood with around 1000grit and then buff and polish. I have general knowledge and some experience with wetsanding and buffing....in other words im not a complete and total retard but by no means very experienced. I'm just looking for tips from people that have done this and also what compound should I use to buff? Should I just get some liquid compound or use the harder, clayish compounds for buffing. I'm going to get a buffer tonight or tomorrow and some buffing wheels. Honestly I dont think I could make the hood look much worse than it is right now so that's why I'm going to do this. If I do...eh oh well I'll sell it and buy a brand new hood. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

start with 1000..then 1500....then go up to 2000

make sure you go the opp way with the 2000 than you did with the 1000 and 1500

so if you go up and down with teh 1000 go left to right with the 1500..then go back up and down with the 2000.

then buff/polish.

Thanks for the help. Honda-tech search is kinda weird. It's like sometimes things come up and if you search for it again they wont. I know I can make a post and then search for it and it might not show it lol. I appreciate it
