Q: i see grease everywhere on my passenger side near axle/tranny . what is it.?
well own a 95 acura integra RS with a b20/lshead turbo. i see grease coming out from somewhere on my passenger side where axle/tranny is.. jacked up my car.. didnt see a torn cv boot.. so dont know what this grease is coming from.. cleaned it, drove it, then few days later see grease coming back.. its annoying and getting all over my samco radiator hoses and practically everywhere on my passenger side. Help please? I have no ABS if that does anything for information.

Is it thick grease? Then its the axles, they dont have to be ripped to leak, the rubber gets soft and leaks from the seams.

Grease from the axles is a greenish/tan color and is very thick. Tranny fluid and oil are both more watery and by the time it dries up will be a black sludge.

I think it is coming out of the boot too. Sounds like as it rotates it is seeping out and being flung everywhere. The only thing I can think of is to get some plastic wrap used for food and wrap it around the boot then drive on the freeway a bit and then see if any comes out of the boot. This would eliminate the boots and help you look elsewere

then again, first image looks like grease could be building up around where that kink is in the boot.. i'd check that little dent in the rubber to make sure there isnt a puncture or something..

So skunked, does anything else in the engine bay take grease like that?
I mean, it seems like there aren't too many other options to pick from.
