Is that price available to the public, or is that an employee price or something? Or are you referring to a different size?
In 205/45-16, the Tire Rack sells the KDW2 for $119 each, which is way overpriced. They also sell the Kumho Ecsta SPT, whose performance is very similar to the KDW2, for $61 each after rebate. They also sell the Goodyear F1 GS-D3, whose performance is way better than the KDW2, for $118 each after rebate. So you can get a similar tire for half the price, or a much better tire for the same price. Which is pretty much the definition of overpriced.

Please show me the performance data which prove these statements..I'm not saying they're not true, but if there were tests done to prove them i would like to see them..Also i would have to see results from independent tests done by different parties, and i'm not talking about Tirerack test results..

Tirerack tests tyres that they sell against each other. What do they stand to gain from doing this, besides informing their customers?

That's my opinion from having driven on them on the track as well as the street. Again, the KDW2 is not a bad tire - it's actually pretty good - but it's just that you can do a lot better for the money, either by getting a similar tire for less money, or a better tire for the same money.
The KDW2 is BFG's budget performance tire, designed to do okay on dry pavement and in rain at a lower price than BFG's super-expensive, top-of-the-line tire, the KD. The KD offers much better performance than the KDW2 on dry pavement, although it's not so great in rain. The KD is ever so slightly better than the F1 GS-D3 on dry pavement (check out the Car and Driver test if you need data) but the F1 GS-D3 is a MUCH better tire than the KD on wet pavement, and lasts a lot longer, and it costs less, too.

So are these the only test results out there for the aforementioned tires? If so it is a weak argument since there are too many possible variables.

You sound like someone who is not looking for practical information or valid opinions backed up by experience, but rather, is only interested in wasting time arguing on the internet. And not only will you never find the "proof" you supposedly are looking for (yeah, right), but your objective is not really to obtain any proof, it's just to argue.

However, you like to spew out your usual condescending B.S. so fast that i didn't have a chance. Even if you have raced with all these tires, which you probably haven't because you would never by the BFG, you are not the know-all, end-all on this subject. Just because you say it is so, doesn't make it so. That's all i said is i would like to see some results. How is that trying to start an argument?

I don't have that size, but I do like the tire.
These guys arguing about the tire, need to realize that this tire's real objective is to bring the best street performance in wet and dry situations. (look at that, the Michelin training paid off) If you are looking for a tire for auto-x this may not be the perfect tire. It is a good tire for daily driving in any part of the country with an occasional auto-x. I just happen to have this tire, and I love them. I do not auto-x every weekend like most of these folks, but I do drive it daily. They give a good ride and perform well.
I'm not just saying this becuase I am sponsored by BFG/Michelin either.

All of which is true of the KDW2. But it's also true of the Kumho Ecsta SPT and Dunlop Direzza DZ101 and Yokohama ES100, all of which cost 50-70 percent of the price of the KDW2.

How do they hold up on the occasions that you do autocross with them?
They hold up fairly well. I can't compare them to things like the well known azenis on the track though. I did have azenis on the car when I bought it, they were about 65% worn and had to be replaced before my 1st auto-x took place. They are better than the Parada2's. (but that isn't saying much) I've used SO2's on my S2K and I loved them, but it is not a fair compairison since it was a different car. Overall I am very happy with them. They, IMO, are a good choise for a daily driven sport car, with ocasional Auto-X. They don't wear down as fast as the azenis. If I was to only auto-x this car, I'd use something else, but it is a good comprimise for a slightly more than a beginner driver.
