Default Final dyno numbers

Went to the rollers last Thursday for a second, and hopefully final, tune. I didn't get any A/F charts or anything so don't ask. I'm sure my tuner has all the other info but since I don't know **** about tuning it's not my place to discuss such things .

Mods:
Comptech Icebox
Spoon spec TB
IB P'n'P IM
Outlaw spacer kit
RC 310's
AEM camgears (+3 intake,-2 exhaust, i think)
Toda Header
T1R testpipe and catback
UR pulleys
Fidanza F/W
tuned w/ Hondata s200

100% bone stock internals, vtec x-over at 5200rpm

Red line is old tune.
Blue line is new tune.

Since the old tune I've added the Toda header, new IM and Icebox.

Noticed how I lost power between 5-6k but gained it back up top. I also couldn't believe how linear the torque curve was above 6k. Not too ideal for a road race car. However the butt dyno gives a more positive reading the the actual dyno. I can't say that I noticed a power loss at all while driving.

I am quite happy with everything as of now. The car runs great and is healthy. I really wanted to see how far I could take it with stock internals and just bolt-ons. Well, now I know .

I can't see myself doing anything else to the motor until it blows *knocks on wood*

Anyway, here's the graph.

Wow, nice parts list ya go there. You just restored my faith in oem internals. I'll leave the toda cams alone for a bit longer. Maybe work on finding an icebox intake. Probably the next mod

Really nice results.

Actually quick question. Just asking for my own understanding.

Were the bigger injectors really needed for your results? Could you get the same results on the stock itr injectors?

Also, how do they know how much to adjust the cam gears? Just dyno trial and error? Just asking because usually I see cam gear adjustments done for aftermarket cams so I thought it was to compensate for the larger lift.

IIRC, the cam gears are adjusted via trial 'n' error. I believe the tuner will just try different settings until the ideal setting presents itself. As for the injectors; the last tune suggested that the stockers were getting close to their max duty cycle. I couldn't tell ya if they ACTUALLY made a difference but I would've been kicking myself if the stockers held me back this time.

Congrats Chris, that is really strong for a Dyno Dynamics plot, looks like the ported IM did what it was supposed to do

I was waiting for you to chime in . I peaked at 187whp last time. The Toda and new IM gave me 8.5whp peak. I may have actualy lost hp after replacing the J's with the Icebox but I like the Icebox set-up better for road racing .

For a stock motor I think I did pretty well. I've also heard that Dyno Dynamics reads low. Not sure how true that is though.

A thinner headgasket, intake with a velocity stack would have gotten you some more power. Now just add that b20 block and Rs pistons... nice power none the less

I can see you getting closer to 200 with a new intake

(AEM ITR CAI w/ BPi Velocity Stack)

I hate to prove my ignorance (again), but what is an outlaw spacer kit?

Very nice numbers.
