Vacuum line please help!!!!!!!!! :(
ok i purchased a vaccum gauge today and wet to try it on so anyways it said to put it on the vaccum line on the manifold so anyways i removed what i tought was the vaccum line on the manifold so i put the conector on their and pluged it to the gauge...so anyways i started the car and the more i was reving the car th higher the gauge would go so i was kind of happy...but i was not ready to complete the instalation of the gauge yet so i removed and and started my car and the engine light was on could someone possibly tell me what i did wrong if it was the wrong line i put it on could you take a picture on your car and post a picture of it on this post....is there a way for me to remove the engine light myself or i have to get it hooked up to a computer at the garage???by the way i have a 99 civic hatchback with a d1.6l....

What are you checking 4 that needs vacuum? If you want the Check Engine Light to go away, hook the vacuum lines back. Disconnect the battery for about 3 mins., your CEL should go away. On these newer vehicles you don't need to check vacuum pressure.
