My 1994 accord after h22a swap doesnt idle
i just recently did a swap into my 94 accord the car runs great it just doesnt stay on,, the mechanic has checked the timing a few times and still cant come up with anything,,, doesnt any body know what it could be
have you checked the throttle body? had the same thing happen to a dodge avenger last week. like, as long as you feathered the gas, it would be fine, but as soon as you let off, it cut out. if you havn't check that.
yea i checked it,, people are telling me it could be the distributor,,, because it sounds like the engine is running on two cylinders but we did a compression test and they over 224 psi i dont think is giving any spark,,,, im not sure,, im gunna re check the throttle body
IAVC get really dirty really fast in H22s, clean it.
Check the TPS angle, if it's too far in the negative it won't idle. Make sure your idle screw isn't too low. Swap the dizzy with a working dizzy to see what would happen.
Don't drive a car that doesn't run on all cylinders, it's very hard on the engine, and will tire itself out quickly.
