Default DOHC ZC - How much compression should I have

almost seems like this engine isn't making as much power as it should. How much compression should I have and would getting my Stock si ecu reprogrammed help that much?

im not an expert but around 150 should be good or a little higher. did you do a compression test already? if not do one and show the numbers. and i think if you chip your ecu you'll just run really rich and wouldnt be worth it.. by what iv read chipping is mainly for turbos.

compression on a new DOHC ZC would be 190 with minimum of 135 - since you are at altitude of 5000-6000ft. it is going to be a lot less - around 155 would be very good - also, due to the altitude, the horsepower is going to be about 18-20% less than it would be at sea level - we have same problem here in Colorado at about the same altitude - get a PG7 ECU
