Question about stock clutch...?
Those of you who purchased your car brand new, at what mileage was your stock clutch replaced...? Also what are your driving habits and do you pop the clutch when you launch...? TIA...

i replaced mine at 80,000 miles. youre supposed to get them replaced at 60,000 i believe, but some go up until 100,000 or more, until they give out. it depends on the driver. now i have an ACT III 6puck clutch with Heavy Duty Plate, and they shaved my flywheel, since it had small cracks in it.... lightened flywheel will make your revs move faster (up & down)
I have about 94,xxx miles right now and I'm on my stock clutch... It doesn't feel like it's slipping or anything, I was just more or less wondering if and when it's going to go out and get some feedback from others who have Teg's... Thanx again... Neone else...?
I just got my teg, its got about 114600 miles on it. The lady i bought it from said its the original clutch.. The owner before her had it till 60k miles so i dunno if he changed it or not.. but if it is the stock clutch than its pretty damn good and durable.. No probs at all.. it doesnt slip or anything, and i run it pretty hard at times.. I pop the clutch every now and then to show off to my passengers :D.. NO probs that ive noticed.. but it may not be the original.. but im not sure!
I had 1 last about 120k before a spring fell out. In my new car, it got to 67k before it actually BROKE! Thought it was a spring like the other one but nope, it just broke. I'm one of the hardest driver's you'll ever meet also but I've also put around 300k miles of driving on manual transmissions so I'm just short of perfect.

I used up my clutch in 22,000 miles... Whoops..
Damn those streets of San Francisco.. Oh, and I drive real hard too..
Typically, you'll first feel the clutch slip at high rpm shifts, rather than the rpms snaping quickly down, they'll start to ramp down... Does that make sence?

I'm almost at 72k miles on my LS'es original clutch, 34k of those miles are from my hard driving, but it still works good. I can still chirp the tires into 2nd, but it does take some effort; it used to be so easy that I did it unintentionally, but that was years ago. I think it still has many miles left...
How much of a pain is it to replace a b18b clutch anyways? I know it's a huge pain on other cars, but how about the Integra?
