Default Weapon R Header

Hey do any of you have/had a weapon r header? If so, how is it, power and quality wise? I got a SS one for my 5gen SH but am thinking about selling it for a short shifter instead, what do you all think? Oh and I know this will make like 1 or 2 whp compared to smsp, rmf, hytech, and so on.

Can you post pics? I have heard Weapon R headers are garbage, but yet I have never seen one.

Here's a picture of the header

So what do you all think? Should i sell it or put it on? Keep in mind i just want to do "bolt-on power" for the next year or two, anyone else have this header or heard about it?

if you are a good driver in terms of shifting, then a short shifter is definetly a good swap for that header. I heard thats is not that good and if you are only doing bolt ons there are way better headers out there than that. If i were you, i would get the greddy header and do 2.5inch mod. Good luck and i hope i helped you. By the way i could be wrong so if i am please correct me

Yeah, the only GReddy header is for the 4th gen, I think, and will sell it later and get the short shifter, thanks

ya u r right but since u will mod it to a 2.5inch then you will have no problem fitting it in to a 5th gen sh or base. Ok laterz

get a Vibrant header - it's a Mugen copy and pretty much the only sub-$1000 header that will give you more than 2whp. For real power, RMF, Hytech, and SMSP are the way to go though.

Weapon R is basically junk - maybe 1-2hp over stock and not as durable as the stock manifold. I wouldn't waste my time installing it. sorry to be the bearer of bad news

by the way, go for a PSPEC short shifter (the DC/Neuspeed/Ebay adapters are not worth the $$ if that's what you were planning on getting)

I have a Weapon R Header. I did not notice any difference after installing it on my Prelude.

on PreludeOnline.com there is . . . not sure about HT. gains of 9-10whp over Greddy (unmodified Greddy that is). dunno if the dyno sheet is still linked or not . . .

we've all seen the Mugen dynos and the Vibrant is a very close copy. It won't work miracles but for $500 shipped you're not going to get any better. Greddy with the collector mod costs about the same and has smaller primaries.

im doubting that. That would mean its about 15whp over stock.

http://www.preludeonline.com/s...88050 if you have access

you really think the Greddy even makes 5whp? it's made much better than the DC but not really designed for much better flow . . . I think the Greddy is the most overrated header out there. This guys car was modified though - I would hope for 7-8 whp on a stock Lude with the Vibrant - same as Mugen.
