Default Question about rebuilding head

i have an obd0 b16 hea that I plan to send to the machine shop to get cleaned/ resurfaced.. it looks pretty dirty so i'd imagine it has lots of miles on it and it's obd0 but aside from the dirt it looks to be in good shape

Now to save me some money I plan to assemble the head myself the parts i have/will have for it are new skunk2 valves, springs and retainers.. I'll get some new seals from honda.

Here's my question.. After the head has been cleaned/resurfaced would it be fine for me to just install the new valves? Or do I need the machine shop to install them because a valve job needs to be done at that same time. I don't want to slap it together but at the same time I need to save as much money as possible. The head will go to the machine ship with the valves already removed.

take the valves with and have them do a valve job and lap them in and have them leave them in the seat they were lapped in. then you can assemble it on your own.
if you dont do the valvejob now and you have big leakdown because of it you will not be happy with yourself.

you should be able to get one done for a lot cheaper than that.
