obd2 engine into obd1 car.
im geting a 96 ls motor and it is going into a 93 vx hatch, what i need to know since im geting it with out a distributor, can i use a obd1 ls distributor? if this is not possible can you help me out on how to make this work with a obd 2 distributor. p.s. i will be using either a obd1 ls w/hondata ecu or p28 w/hondata. thanks in advance.
it depends on what engine harness you are going to use. if you are going to use the obd2 harness you should stick with the obd2 distributor. if you're going to use a obd1 harness then u need to switch out the injectors and alternator or find obd2 plugs and solder them to the obd1 harness to make the injectors and alternator work.
easiest thing would be to find an obd2 engine harness and distributor cause then everything would be plug and play you just need to wire up the tach because the obd2 distributor plug doesn't have the tach output signal for an obd1 car.

if u use your VX harness it will work but you have to rewire the o2 sensor from 5 wire to 4 wire. also u have to extend the o2 sensor wires and maybe the IAT sensor wire.
it will be easier to get an obd1 integra harness. but if you're good with soldering and electrical then stick with the vx harness.
