brake fluid leak any suggestions
i just put a new master cylinder on and was wonering if i had to do something before i just slap it on, also im leaking brake fluid i have no clue where any tips on how to find a leak or hot spots where leaks happen? brakes work fine they can lock up and everything but i realy have to use my leg. any suggestions will help thanks
you must bench bleed it before you slap it on. i think it's common for new/rebuilt units to come with the hoses needed to do this. you connect the hoses to the outlets of the MC and loop them back inside the reservoir, then cycle it until you get no air thru the lines....otherwise bleeding the system will take forever.
leaks tend to happen in the rear drums' wheel cylinders....
