well the reason i was thinking of the f4 specifically is that it will be my first bike. i was gonna get an f2 or f3 but this f4 is cheaper than all the other f2s or f3s that ive seen

The F4i hurts my nuts. The F4 doesn't. I've heard differently proportioned riders think otherwise.

Ride both bikes if the F4i is on your list, it may make you pick one over the other.

if its a good deal dont let the lack of fuel injection stop you from getting the bike, its a nice feature but should not be a deal breaker especially if you get a good deal.

I'd love to have an F4 as a daily/commuter bike. There's nothing wrong with carburetors.

$3200 would you do it? it has a ding or 2 in the gas tank, and some scratches from falling over in a parking lot.

Need a lil more info, like milage etc.
sounds not unreasonable...but if its scatched up alot and dings in the tank then i dunno. Make sure you shop around dont buy the first bike cause its a resonable price. Theres allways another one out there somewhere.

18000 miles, its not scratched up alot at all, just a couple scrapes on the right side, and 2 quarter sized dents in the tank

I had an F4 as my second bike, loved it! The seat is ugly but so much more comfotable then the F4i. If you ride the bike often there is nothing wrong with carbs. If its going to sit for more than a few weeks, drain the fuel out of the carbs so they dont gum up. I would say you can get the bike for around 3K with 18K miles and little damage. Ryan

18k miles and dents/scratches?

Not worth $3,200 to me.
