track day info
I was wondaering what info people had on going to open track days. I live in southern wisconsin and all the roads around here arte staright or patches of gravel at the corners. I am asking because I have never thougth of it until I hit a large patch and drove off into the ditch earlier today.
My main questions were how expensive is it, how safe is it relative to riding country back roads. It sounds very appealing to me becasaue getting real low in corners is what interested my the most about bikes. Thanks for any info.

its roughly around 150-200 a day. but you have to factor in full leathers, gauntlet gloves, boots, back protector, helmet, tires, brakes, oil, etc. on the bike maintenance.
If you are going to CRUISE on the backroads, there is no problem. If you are trying to get your knee down on the ground, then you need to take it to the track. read all the crashes going on here, 95% of them are from aggressive riding on the backroads.
If you are interested in turns, and dragging you knee, and getting rid of your chicken strips... take it to the track

thanks for the help, I def want to get my knee down, but I was not even riding aggresivly when I fell which kinda pissed me off. I would much rather blame myself than shitty conditions
