I know most of you gus here are getting to be as irratable as me now, and i think that all threads that are posted up for the following be ignored:
swaps
trannies
gearing
brakes
n20
be completelly ignored,
Because the way I feel about it is this, we have gone over these damned topics so many freaking times even the newbies with 15 posts are getting sick of them
so if they made the effort to come to this board they can make an effort to search and find for themselves.
Shiet most of the info is sometimes a few threads down if not one

Can you just delete them as u see them? It would keep things more organized and tech related and wouldnt allow people to turn them into sammich threads.

Well they will be ignored as long as it is not something new that has not been covered before correctly??? I think we need to make a sticky topic of actual rules for newbies.

not to say i disagree with you but almost everytime i try to use the search it comes up empty. So that means there will be ignored posts and posts of newbies complaining taking up even more space. I think a sticky is a good idea just to keep most of the crap out of here. Its a bother to me and everyone else looking for knowledge from all you guys when all i see is will an h22 fit in my accord, will n2o make my car fly etc. Isn't there some way to make all there posts go to the newbie forum?

The search function sucks here, until it works right you shouldn't delete.
After that though feel to flame people for not searching first.

WRONG
there are other ways to search, be creative!!!!!
So i'm saying will an h22 fit in my accord haha j/p i usually try a few different titles when searching then give up. Besides if we didn't have all these questions people would be learning from others experiences and probably not have to search near as much. Well if they visit the board often
I agree the threads are irritating, but isnt that the point of a forum?
I would hate to be the one in need of info and all I get in return is "try a search".
I dont have an answer to the problem, just hate to see such a resource turn into a anti-newbie campaign.

I just did a search using "brake" and another one with "brakes" as keywords and out of the archives and recent topics it popped up a total of 6 threads. With the number of problems accord brakes can have, I dont think 6 threads will help anyone with specific problems.
Maybe talk to the site designer to get the serach engine fixed? I dont mind helping new people out; I guess if you spend a lot of time in here it gets annoying but this is the internet with new people coming all the time.
Maybe we should close the accord forum to outsiders and call it "Misa's accord club".

i neither have the answer, but i do get questions and i some times just check the search function for the hell of it... lol i know thats funny but i dont check the site everyday.. so when i get a problem i check up on the site.. by then most topics have moved to page six or so..
if you can explain to me why this is a bother? what i mean is?
If you dont want to read the topic dont click the link? i skip things and if i see soemthing interesting i read it.. one person says one thing and another says another.. once things are posted several times.. it creates a "comfort zone" feeling for me to tell others the same answers.. anyone can get online and give an answer..
anyways sorry for the length.. but how bout a sticky chart like h22.com has with the swap guide.. put a sticky with h22 FAQ and a swap guide..
thanks

Before a topic is submitted, a pop-up window could state:
Will this topic subject you to a servere tongue lashing by already established Honda-Tech members? If your answer is yes, try using the search function.

"This may make the moderator cranky"
I think that if they put "I tried searching but didn't find anything" then its ok,
and as long as theres not a thread from within a few days ago its ok. What gets aggravating is when the first page of the forum has like 10 topics that are the SAME. I remember one day coming here and there were like 5-10 posts on the general topic of h22s, no really specific questions though. Just "will an h22 fit in my car????" type posts.

a search is only as good as the database... in this case, if it gets dumped every two weeks, i for one do not mind newbies... why because you too were a newbie once... the whole purpose of these boards is to learn and discuss, not see how stupid someone else is
kgaccord, i completely agree
kgaccord, i completely agree
yes but newbies should not mind other newbies!...haha...just playin man...but i still think a sticky would be good at the top...but lock it to just general info about the accord forum rules so that nobody else can post...it would also be a way for you to show who's in charge here (MISA)...and those who don't comply with the rules will get their topics destroyed...that should be a better solution then sitting here flaming on the newbie questions!
