my friend w/ v6 accord coupe had this lil blue light that he plugged into his cigarrette lighter and when he lifts it up off the floor it sets off his srs light. same thing happens to my other friend with an rsx type-s. but my friend w/ a brand new camry had one and it didnt set off his light. i took his light and tried it in my other friends accord coupe and it set it off. ??? the reason i ask is cuz my car came with indiglo gauges, and they dont work ne more. im not sure why but i wanted to get this lil led light and stick right in front of my gauges so at night it will light up the gauges and i can c how fast im going. i kno im gonna get flamed for this topic but i really need to c how fast im goin and i dont kno how to fix the indiglo. has ne one tried usin this led light thing(its the kind where it will either flash on the bass hits or just light up)? and did it set off the srs light?

 

I'm pretty sure the light you're talking about installing would glare off the lense in front of the guages too much. Just yank the guages, and see if you can see any poor connections. If you cant see anything wrong I suggest you get a new set.


to answer your question: i've never heard of any type of light setting off the SRS light.

when you say lift it off the floor do you mean lift it off the floor and put it in the seat? If so and the cars have side airbags, it's the opds (occupant position detection system) thinking a child that is too small (weight sensors are incredible on that thing) and lighting the "side airbag" light up to let the driver know it is deactivated and they need to move the kid/wake up the guy sleeping on the door. If he's not putting it in the seat, then I have no idea.

 

i just lifted it off the ground to look at it and the srs light went off. and for my friend in the coupe, i put the light in front of his gauges to c how it'd look and then the next tym i looked at his gauges the srs light was on.
